Chokeberries are cultivated as ornamental plants and as food products. The sour berries, or aronia berries, can be eaten raw off the bush, but are more frequently processed. They can be found in wine, jam, syrup, juice, soft spreads, tea, salsa, chili starters, extracts, beer, ice cream, gummies and tinctures. The name “chokeberry” comes from the astringency of the fruits, which create the sensation of making one’s mouth pucker

DSFM has a no shipping set up in that all products purchased on this site will be picked up at the DSFM location on Saturday mornings from 10:00am to 11:00pm.
Individual stores (vendors) within this system may setup any other method they choose as long as the customer is happy with the arrangement.
It is the policy of DSFM that the customer shall be made happy, IF possible. Any customer that requests a refund (or the DSFM board declares necessary), the refunded amount will be billed to the vendor in question. We urge all vendors to work with their customers in a friendly and timely fashion as to keep your customer, and ours, happy.
