Big news! Our online market will continue through Big news!

Our online market will continue through December 19!

Many of our vendors are returning with plenty of inventory, and we're excited to have the opportunity to extend our season.

What's the same:
✨Produce, eggs, bread, meat, jams, handcrafted items, and baked goods will be available.
✨Shop noon Wednesday until 6pm Thursday at the same website, depotstreetfarmersmarket.com/shop.
✨Pick up in the Greene County Partnership lot on Saturday morning.

What's different:
✨No in-person shopping; everything will be pre-ordered and no vendors will be set up.
✨The pickup time will be *at* 10am sharp. There's no big window of time.
✨Show up at 10, grab your bag, and get on with your day.

Slow-roasted tomatoes with garlic & herbs (recipe Slow-roasted tomatoes with garlic & herbs (recipe follows).

Did you know we often have freebies at the market, courtesy of @utextensiongreene, to help you prepare local produce? This handy cutting mat folds a little, so you can go straight from chopping veggies to pouring them in the pan.

To slow roast tomatoes: Cut tomatoes in half horizontally, and core if desired. Add a 2(ish) tablespoons of olive oil, salt & pepper, and sliced or mashed garlic (don’t get the pieces too small or they’ll burn. Bigger pieces will soften and sweeten in the oven.) Add in any herbs you like (we used whole basil leaves and rosemary sprigs) and bake at 325 for 1-2 hours, depending on how firm your tomatoes are. To eat: use in pasta dishes, pizzas, or just one a nice big piece of toast, maybe with some feta cheese on top. (You can freeze them after roasting to preserve them!)

Big thanks to the UT Extension Office for providing our community with the tools and education to help us use and enjoy our local produce!

Remember to tag us with #depotfresh so we can see what you’re making!

The market is back! With some changes, so read on: The market is back! With some changes, so read on:

We have a new location this year, as work on Depot Street carries on: 115 Academy Street, in the parking lot of @greene_county_partnership
We have abbreviated hours for now, too: 10-12.
We'll be continuing pre-orders (on a vendor-by-vendor basis; each vendor chooses if they'll offer pre-orders and/or a physical presence at the market). Pre-orders are available for pickup at 9:30 at the same location--just look for the tent in the lower parking section next to the street.

We ask that you stay home if you're sick, and please don't touch the produce; simply point to what you want or ask your farmer to select it for you.
Please bring small bills to eliminate the need to make change. Our vendors are striving for minimal contact as we serve our community!

We appreciate shares, likes, and comments!
See you in the morning!🤩
